June Is the Month To License Dogs

He may be your best friend. You may even look on her as your furry baby. But there is no way around it—you must get a license for your dog and June is the month to do it.

Town Clerk Debbie Nelson reminds pet owners that each dog aged six months or older must be licensed with her office no later than June 30. As of July 1, a penalty of $1 per month will be charged against those who do not.

Licenses may be obtained in person during normal business hours, by mail or online starting June 1. For new dog registrations,  see the application. All dogs must have a current rabies vaccination. If it has expired, owner must provide an up-to-date vaccination certificate to process the new license. The link for applying online will be active starting Monday, June 1.
