Join the Norfolk Library for a Special Summer Event Finale as they wrap up their Summer Reading with Nile the Inflatable Humpback Whale on Thursday, July 30 with two sessions to choose from; 5:00 to 5:40 and 6:00 to 6:40. Explore a life-sized inflatable whale and allow it to spark your curiosity and inspire ocean stewardship. Inside, children explore whale anatomy, uncover conservation challenges, and discover how whales—and the ocean—connect to our daily lives, no matter where we live. It’s a hands-on, immersive experience that sparks curiosity and wonder. While waiting for their turn, participants can take part in fun, educational activities like matching whale tails, exploring real artifacts, and learning how to protect the ocean through our Whale Safe Habits campaign.
There will be two time slots to experience Nile, and a sweet treat offered in between. This event is limited to 20 per time slot, ages 5 and up. Registration is required.
