Great Mountain Forest will host “Living Alongside Bears: Separating Facts, Myths and Realities” at the Norfolk Hub on Saturday, May 10 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Join Ginny Apple, Master Wildlife Conservationist with DEEP, for an insightful talk on Connecticut’s black bears, covering their habitat, diet, behavior, reproduction, and current research. Ginny shares practical tips for peaceful coexistence and personal observations from living near Peoples State Forest, where she documents bear activity for DEEP. Her passion has also taken her to Montana for grizzly research.
