On Friday, April 25, at 7:00 pm, “A Road Not Taken” (2010) will be shown at the Norfolk Library. In 1979 President Jimmy Carter hired a CT-based energy team including Norfolk resident, Tom Strumolo, to install 32 solar hot water panels on the roof of the White House. The panels were removed after Ronald Reagan took office. In this documentary film, Swiss artists Christina Hemauer and Roman Keller investigate what happened to those panels and why they were removed.
The film is part of the Norfolk Earth Forum weekend and will be followed by Q&A with Tom Strumolo.
