The Norfolk Conservation Commission will hold a community volunteer event Sunday, October 27 beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Work will focus on eliminating the young buckthorn sprouting at the entrance to Barbour Woods and bordering the Land Trust’s newly acquired Borden Woods along Lovers Lane.
The event will kick off with a brief orientation on buckthorn and control strategies. Refreshments will be provided.
The commission hopes to launch more volunteer opportunities featuring other plants and locations.
