Thursday, October 15 at 5:30 p.m., at the Norfolk Library, Nancy Elle Smith will share slides and speak about her book “Downwind,” which documents the quirkiness, the exuberance, and the fierce beauty of wild animals in the neighborhood. With the resurgence of the wild in our region, we have been given a second chance to keep them among us, and to understand that we are one species among many. Our regard for the wild world presages the future.
