Overview

The Social Services Department provides support to residents experiencing financial or other hardships. Its objective is to ensure that all persons seeking help from the Town of Norfolk are treated with courtesy and dignity, and without prejudice, and that every effort is made to give them the assistance appropriate for their needs. If you, or anyone you know, could use these services, please call Tara Yard, Social Services Director, at 860-542-2887.

Energy Assistance applications are available through the Social Services Office starting September 1.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Monday, October 5, 11:00 a.m.
A representative from the Western Connecticut Area Agency on Aging will do a presentation on Medicare and Medicaid, discussing the changes to insurance for the upcoming year.

Wednesday, October 7, 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
Flu shots will be offered at the Town Hall for anyone 3 years old and up. Covid-19 vaccines will be available along with pneumonia shots. Pre-registration is required.
