Summer Reading Kick Off

06/16/2025
5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

The Norfolk Library is delighted to announce their Summer Reading Program theme this year is “Color Our World.” Children and families are invited to meander down a path of art and creativity, embracing various ways we can “color our world” through art, nature, science, and movement.

Please join the Norfolk Library for the Summer Reading Kick Off on Monday, June 16 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. as Science Heroes presents “Adventure of the Missing Color.” Through hands-on experiments and fun, interactive stories, children will learn about scientists who have used art and design to color our world. A delicious treat will be served!

The Summer Reading program at the Norfolk Library runs for 7 weeks from June 16 to July 28 with special events on Monday evenings. Specially designed by artist Erika Crofut, whimsical reading logs will be given to children with fun challenges to help them maintain and enhance their literacy skills and to foster a love of reading.
The special events are free and open to all Norfolk-area families.
