Norfolk Chamber Music Festival: “Ives: Likes & Dislikes”

07/05/2024
8:00 pm - 10:00 pm

The Norfolk Chamber Music Festival will feature Tara Helen on flute and Scott Hartman on Trombone at the “Ives: Likes & Dislikes” concert, Friday, July 5, from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. Festival concerts are held at the Music Shed on the Ellen Battell Stoeckel Estate.
This concert is part of the Festival’s 2024 theme, “Charles Ives and the American Tradition.” Despite a reputation as a musical maverick, Ives had tastes that one might consider conservative. He was a big fan of Beethoven and Franck, but had a distaste for the important modernist composer Edgard Varèse.

Tickets: $70 to $35, $10 Young Adults (19-35),
