Norfolk Chamber Music Festival: European Influences on America

The Norfolk Chamber Music Festival will feature Frank Morelli on bassoon, Daniel Phillips on violin, Steven Tenenbom on viola, Paul Watkins on cello and Melvin Chen on piano with the Norfolk Fellows in concert for “European Influences on America,” Friday, July 19, from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. Festival concerts are held at the Music Shed on the Ellen Battell Stoeckel Estate.
This concert is part of the Festival’s 2024 theme, “Charles Ives and the American Tradition.” American classical music has long been indebted to the European tradition. This concert features European composers that had major influence on the American music scene.

Tickets: $70 to $35, $10 Young Adults (19-35),
Children under 19 are free.

There will be a free pre-concert conversation (open to the pubic) from 7:00 to 7:40 P.M. in the Battell Recital Hall. Join Professors from the Yale School of Music before the Friday evening concerts to learn about the weekend’s programs. Tickets for the concert will be available at the Music Shed following the conversation.
