Artist Hilary VanWright will facilitate this visual art workshop series, “Never Too Late to Be Great: Women in the Visual Arts” at the Norfolk Library The series highlights the lives of 3 women whose artistic careers bloomed well into their 80s and beyond. This workshop is sure to delight and inspire your creativity.
Join for the first of three workshops which explores colorful abstract watercolor painting on paper, based on the work of African-American artist and teacher, Alma Woodsey Thomas (1891 to 1978) Thursday, March 6 at 5:30 p.m. To learn more about Alma Woodsey Thomas, click here.
The second workshop on Thursday, March 20 at 5:30 will feature artist Carmen Herrera.
The third workshop on Thursday, March 27 at 5:30 will feature artist Kay Sekimachi.
