Have a button that needs to be sewn on? Maybe a fallen hem or other small clothing repair? Now is your opportunity to get it mended! Saturday, November 1 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. the Norfolk UCC’s Clothes Closet (a member of the Green Team) will host a Mending Café at the Norfolk Hub. Volunteer menders will be on site to repair your clothing item. All mending is on a first come, first served basis and is free to the community. Donations can be made to Norfolk UCC to support programs like the Clothes Closet and Food Pantry and are greatly appreciated.
Gently used clothing for the Clothes Closet can be donated at the Hub as well as textiles to be recycled.
There will also be a table of up cycled sweaters for sale to benefit the programs at Norfolk UCC!
