Join Great Mountain Forest at the Norfolk Hub for an engaging event with Ginny Apple, a Master Wildlife Conservationist with the CT DEEP (Department of Energy & Environmental Protection,) as she explores the fascinating and often misunderstood fisher.
Through stories and images on Saturday, May 2 from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m, Ginny reveals the secret life of this remarkable forest predator: what it eats, how it behaves, and how populations have rebounded across Connecticut. You’ll also learn about the fisher’s history in the region and the conservation efforts that have helped restore this elusive animal to our forests. Ginny will share visuals to bring the fisher’s world to life.
This is a free event. Refreshments will be available.
