“Mason Hale’s Aton Forest Lichen Collection: 70 Years Later Report” will take place at the Norfolk Hub on Friday, July 17 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Dr. James Lendermer, Curator of Botany, The New York State Museum will speak for 45 minutes with a short Q&A to follow. The talk will be followed by a walk at Aton Forest (15 minutes away by car.)
The Aton Forest Centennial Exhibition at the Norfolk Hub will also launch the book: “The Spirit of Aton Forest: Frank Egler, Rebel Ecologist, and the Pursuit of Science and Natural Area Protection,” by Billy Gridley, President, Aton Forest.
