Join the fun as the Connecticut-Asia Cultural Center celebrates its Annual Cultural Festival during Weekend In Norfolk on Saturday, August 1, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tour the Buddhist, Taoist and Confucian Cultural Exhibits as well as the popular Inca Exhibit any time during open hours.
Festival Schedule of events:
12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. – Complimentary Asian food will be served
The ancient instrument played by Confucius, Gu Qin, will be performed during lunch.
1:00 p.m. – Traditional Dragon Dance by the Dragon Dance Team
2:00 p.m. – Dragon Boat Cart Racers, where teams of 2-5 can compete in a festive Dragon Boat Cart Race.
Guests can also participate in the Juniper Bonsai Making Demonstration (complimentary juniper bonsai kit provided) and Calligraphy Demonstration.
