The Battell Arts Foundation encourages participation in, and enjoyment of, the arts as a way of engaging and making sense of the world. It offers arts scholarships to young people, supports drama productions and special arts events in the local schools and helps fund concerts and classes at the Yale Summer Schools of Art and Music, including summer community art classes. It also develops new projects that enhance the experiences of the various arts in Norfolk.
