The Shared Services Integrated Preschool Program (SSIPP) is an integrated preschool program serving the needs of children ages 3 to 5 in Barkhamsted, Colebrook, Hartland and Norfolk. The program is located at the Barkhamsted School and follows the Barkhamsted School calendar. Screenings are offered March 23, March 24 and March 25,  for parents who have concerns regarding their child’s development. Identified children qualify to participate in the Shared Services Preschool Program. For more information, click here.

A Special Town Meeting for electors and citizens qualified to vote in town meetings will be held at the Norfolk Town Hall, 19 Maple Ave., Thursday, Feb. 17, at 7:00 p.m. to consider and act upon resolutions that would authorize the Town to contract with and borrow necessary funds for the refurbishment of River Place Bridge over the Blackberry River, Bridge (#097-097), and Mountain Road Bridge over Norfolk Brook (Bridge #097-004). The Town of Norfolk and Cardinal Engineering will hold a “Public Information Meeting” to discuss the reconstruction of Maple Avenue and Storm Water Drainage Improvements project Monday, Feb. 7,  at 6:00 p.m. at the Town Hall. Masks are required. All are welcome to attend and Maple Avenue residents are strongly urged to attend.

The Transfer Station will be closed on Saturday, Jan. 28, in anticipation of bad weather. It will be open on Monday.

Energy Assistance Help

Energy Assistance applications are now available Monday and Wednesday 12:00 to 3:30 p.m. at the Town Hall. You can also make an appointment by calling 860-542-2887.
