DESCRIPTION:The public is invited to view the work of students from the Yal
 e Norfolk School of Art at their Open Studios session at the Art Barn\, Su
 nday\, June 28 from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. \nThe work on display reflects this 
 summer’s theme\, “Seeing Through\,” inspired by French philosopher 
 Édouard Glissant’s writing on opacity and its counterpart\, transparenc
 y. Glissant suggests that opacity is not the same as obscurity\, but inste
 ad refers to what resists simplification or reduction. Building on this id
 ea\, the students explore transparency and opacity as ways of perceiving a
 nd understanding—examining what it means to see through something\, both
