Yale Norfolk Art Lecture: Kameelah Janan Rasheed

7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

The Yale Norfolk School of Art continues its “Making Light” Thursday night lecture series on Thursday, June 6, with Kameelah Janan Rasheed from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the Art Barn on the Battell Stoeckel Estate with a wine reception to follow.

Kameelah Janan Rasheed’s installation art grows out of her political, personal story and background in teaching. With her multimedia approach, she explores conflicting cultural histories, perception and memory.

The Yale Norfolk School of Art, established in 1948, is an intensive six-week undergraduate summer residency program for 26 rising seniors. It is made possible with the support of Yale School of Art, The Norfolk Hub, the Ellen Battell Stoeckel Trust, Low Road Foundation and Battell Arts Foundation.
