DESCRIPTION:Great Mountain Forest's Woodland Academy\, "Invasive Plant Spec
 ies in CT: Identification\, Ecology and Management\," will take place at G
 MF's Yale Camp\, Wednesday\, October 7 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This co
 urse is for landowners\, land trusts\, municipal staff\, and conservation 
 practitioners dealing with invasive plants in forests and natural areas.\n
 \nThe GMF Woodland Academy offers workshops for forest owners (individuals
 \, nonprofits\, municipalities) to understand\, steward\, and sustainably 
 use their land. Participants learn about ecosystem processes (e.g.\, funga
 l networks)\, interpretive skills (e.g.\, tree ID)\, management practices 
 (e.g.\, climate smart stewardship)\, and sustainable uses (e.g.\, wood pro
 ducts or ecotourism). Workshops support professional continuing education\
 , and foster partnerships among participants\, creating a more connected r
