New Music Workshop: Master Class

Yale Faculty vocalist Adriana Zabala and pianist J.J. Penna are featured in “Master Class,” Tuesday, June 28, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Music Shed. Part of the New Music Workshop Series, Zabala and Penna will feature work of the New Music Fellows who are writing music that includes the human voice.

In keeping with the 2024 Norfolk Chamber Music Festival theme, “Charles Ives & the American Tradition,” Martin Bresnick leads this year’s New Music Workshop series with a focus on Charles Ives in honor of the 150th Anniversary of Ives’ birth. Workshop events and concerts are free and open to the public.

June 28 at 7:30 p.m. in the Music Shed
A performance featuring world premieres by Norfolk Fellow composers and performed by the Norfolk Contemporary Ensemble led by pianist Lisa Moore.
