The Litchfield County Choral Union, Gabriel Löfvall, conductor, will celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence with “From Roots to Promise: Singing America at 250” on Sunday, August 2 at 5:00 p.m. at the Battell Music Shed on the Battell Stoeckel Estate.
The Litchfield County Choral Union is a community chorus that has been bringing the art of Choral Music to the region since 1899. It is made up of singers and audiences from all over Connecticut, Eastern New York, and Western Massachusetts.
The August 2 Program:
“Everyday Wonders: The Girl from Aleppo” by Cecilia McDowall
“The World Beloved: A Bluegrass Mass” by Carol Carnett
accompanied by fiddle, mandolin, banjo, guitar and bass
