Good sustainable farming practices begin with soil health. As a chef and farmer, Husky Meadows Farm’s new grower, Brett Ellis, brings an added understanding that all flavor and nutrient density in food begins at the soil level. The Norfolk Library will host a presentation by Ellis Sunday, April 16, at 4:00 p.m. to explore the importance of soil health and sustainable farming. Tracy Hayhurst, culinary director of Seed & Spoon, will join the conversation to give a preview of this year’s educational programming at the farm. Register here.
