Paintings, drawings and sculpture by Gil Eisner, who built a career as an independent illustrator with work regularly appearing in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, American Heritage and Photonics Magazine. He is known for his draftsmanship and idea-driven illustrations and cartoons. He also painted on Wednesday nights with the New York Painters Group led by David Levine and Aaron Schickler. Gil and his wife Kate bought a home in Norfolk in 1980 and have been a part of the Norfolk community ever since. In recent years, Gil’s creative interests have led him to wood carving and making intricate wooden constructions. The exhibit is open through September 30 during library hours.
