With cybercrime and digital abuse on the rise, it’s important for everyone to be aware of the dangers and — even more important – be ready with a plan for when something goes wrong. The Norfolk Library will host a “Digital Safety Workshop for Seniors” on Thursday, January 29 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. In this interactive, 90-minute workshop tailored specifically for adults age 55+, Linda Ciano, Director of Community Engagement for Project Sage, will begin by outlining some of the threats people face in today’s digital world. She will examine how adults can assemble a team of trusted relatives, friends, and professionals and put together a plan of action for responding to whatever may come their way, from phishing scams to cyber harassment.
