6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
The Norfolk Conservation Commission and the Beaver Institute will host a webinar on non-lethal management of beaver.
The Beaver Institute is excited to announce an innovative program for the state of Connecticut to help property owners and municipalities resolve human-beaver conflicts in a non-lethal manner. Funding is available to financially assist Connecticut property owners and towns resolve beaver conflicts in a cost-effective, environmentally friendly, humane, and long-term manner. While funds last, grant money will be available to any CT property owner, town, or organization experiencing a problem with beavers. This new program is the result of a $25,500 grant to support non-lethal beaver control efforts within the state. This program can serve as a model that can eventually be used throughout all of North America.
