Printing with paint, paper and a gelatin plate is a fun, spontaneous way to make art. It’s addicting! You’ll want to create more and more prints to see your results. Prints can be used as a stand-alone piece of art, as a monotype, or you can use the papers to make greeting cards, bookmarks, or collage material for another art project. The sky’s the limit!
This is a great and easy way to tap into your own creativity, even if you don’t think you have a creative bone in your body! In this workshop, Tom Hlas will teach you the fundamentals of gel plate printing and you’ll go home with art created by your own hands.
No experience is required. It’s a great class for beginners to experienced artists. All materials needed will be available for use during the class including a Gel Press plate, a brayer, GOLDEN OPEN Acrylic paints, stencils and paper.
