There is an end-of-the-school-year bustle at Botelle School. The PTO will sponsor a cultural event Tuesday, May 30, at 11:00 a.m., when the Little Guild of St. Francis in Cornwall brings animals to the school to introduce students to the idea of animal adoptions.
A Back to the 90’s Dance Party is planned for Friday, June 2, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Botelle School. The $15 admission includes two slices of pizza and a drink. Other snacks will be available for purchase. A parental waiver must be signed at drop off and all drop offs and pick ups must be at the drop-off location. Call 914-588-4672.
On Wednesday, June 7, the school will hold its field day from 9:00 a.m. until noon, an event that will be followed on Monday, June 12, by a Celebration of Learning. The school-wide event will be held from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. and will feature displays of PIP projects made by the students, an art show in the Hall of Flags, and the spring concert. Visitors will also have an opportunity to visit with teachers.
On Thursday, June 15, the school will say thank you to all those who have supported it during the school year with an appreciation breakfast from 8:15 to 8:45 a.m. Parents and volunteers are invited to come. The breakfast will be followed by a Good News Gathering, during which some students will receive recognition.
Sixth-grad promotion exercises will take place Friday, June 16, at 6:00 p.m. in the gym and the last day of school will be Monday, June 19. It will be a half day.
