Expert birder Ayreslea Denny will lead a backyard bird count at City Meadow Sunday, February 18, at 9:00 a.m. as part of the Great Backyard Bird Count. The count takes place worldwide from February 17 to 20. People count as many birds as they can and report back to the eBird citizen science database. Bring binoculars and dress warmly, with good shoes for winter walking. This program is sponsored by the Norfolk Library, the Land Trust and the Church of Christ. Meet at Robertson Plaza. After the count, the group will walk to the library for hot beverages and to enter data into eBird. Weather permitting.
