The Town Clerk is an elected position, serving a four year term.


The Town Clerk’s office is the official State recording agency for the Town. This includes vital statistics (marriage, birth, death) records, dog licenses and all documents related to ownership of real property. All town committee minutes and agenda are available to the public.

Our responsibilities include:
  • Absentee Ballots
  • Marriage licenses, Dog Licenses, Fishing Licenses
  • Tobey & Transfer Permits

Hours of Operation

  • Monday - Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Do I have to pay to swim in Tobey Pond?

All Town of Norfolk residents may use Tobey Pond from June to Labor Day. However, parking stickers must be purchased in the Clerk’s office.
